The state is home to some of the most famous hill stations in India, such as Shimla, Manali, and Dharamshala, which attract tourists from all over the world.
Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is known for its colonial architecture, lush gardens, and breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. The Mall Road, Ridge, and Christ Church are some of the must-visit attractions in Shimla. Manali, on the other hand, is a popular destination for adventure sports like paragliding, river rafting, and skiing. The Solang Valley and Rohtang Pass are the major attractions in Manali.
Dharamshala, located in the Kangra Valley, is the spiritual and cultural hub of Himachal Pradesh. It is the residence of the Dalai Lama and is known for its Tibetan monasteries, temples, and picturesque surroundings. The McLeod Ganj, Namgyal Monastery, and Bhagsu Falls are some of the must-visit places in Dharamshala.
Apart from these famous hill stations, Himachal Pradesh is also home to several national parks and wildlife sanctuaries. The Great Himalayan National Park, Pin Valley National Park, and Renuka Wildlife Sanctuary are some of the popular wildlife destinations in the state. These parks are home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including the elusive snow leopard.

From exploring the ancient temples and monasteries to indulging in adventure sports and enjoying the local cuisine, there is never a dull moment in Himachal Pradesh.

Exploring Himachal Pradesh is incomplete without trying the local cuisine. The state is known for its mouthwatering dishes like Dham (a traditional meal), Siddu (a steamed bread), and Chha Gosht (spicy lamb curry). Don’t forget to savor the world-famous Himachali apples and try the locally brewed alcoholic beverage, known as ‘Toddy’.
So, what are you waiting for? Pack your bags, get ready to witness the mesmerizing beauty of Himachal Pradesh, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
The Nako lake is the main attraction of the village. It is a freshwater lake situated at an altitude of 11,893 ft. In the winter, the Nako Lake gets completely frozen and is sometimes used for ice skating as well.
Kaza or Kaja as the locals say is the headquarters of Spiti Valley. The city is well developed with almost all infrastructural facilities, amidst dry cold deserts. Kaza has a lot to offer in terms of culture and belief, besides the shopping arcade, Cafés, and eating joints.
Beyond Kaza, the landscape is studded with some small settlements at a God-forbidden altitude. These places still bear a post office, a police station, a school, a primary health department, and a bus stand, functioning similarly to that in your city. This area has been declared a fossil spotting site, taking one back to the history of medieval times. These clusters are spread along the contours, with dwarfed mud structures made from the context itself. The first sight of these settlements from far away leaves a person speechless, and then a storyteller! These roads are sometimes visited by the big cats also known as the Himalayan Ghosts and Snow Leopards!
Chitkul – Another enchanted place in this beautiful land. Has a high-altitude river flowing right beside it. Offers grand views of the nearby mountain peaks. It is also a starting and endpoint for multiple high-altitude treks.
This stands around 7100 feet above sea level and is a little hamlet that can be easily covered by foot. The snow-covered Shrikhand Mahadev Peak towers over it while the River Sutlej flows in the valley below Sarahan. This place belongs to the district of Bushehr even though it lies within the borders of Shimla.
